Madness and mystery 

The gameplay of Paranoid plunges players into a gripping journey to uncover truths and save Patrick Calman's sister and his sanity. Forced out of isolation, he confronts nightmarish experiences that challenge his grip on reality. The game features two narrative paths leading to the same endings. As players progress, they must solve puzzles and piece together mysteries step by step to drive the story forward. 

Players can interact with various objects in Patrick’s apartment, such as watching TV, listening to recordings, and even spying on neighbors through holes in the wall. The game employs a unique "whisper system" where players continuously hear voices talking in their head, adding to the eerie atmosphere. To progress, players must combat various enemies, wield weapons, and collect still-beating hearts to uncover the whereabouts of the protagonist’s sister. 

Despite its strengths, the game has one significant drawback. The “whisper system” occasionally talks over crucial dialogue and gameplay instructions. This can lead to moments where essential information is missed or misunderstood. To navigate this challenge, players are advised to enable subtitles, ensuring they can follow the plot and gameplay cues without interruption from the whispering voices in Patrick's head.
